Cream Crested Legbar
Cream Crested legbars are a unique and stunning auto sexing breed. They were created in the late 1920's at the Genetical Institute in Cambridge by crossing barred Plymouth Rocks with brown leghorns and a bit of araucana. The aim was to create an autosexing breed that were good layers and could easily be sexed at hatch by their down color. While Legbars can be nervous and flighty, they can also be very friendly and social. They are not the best winter layers and do most of their laying spring through fall. They lay an average of 180 medium-large eggs per year.
